About us

Our Denomination……

The Southern Baptist Convention represents millions of members in tens of thousands of churches who join together around shared beliefs, goals, and mission. Southern Baptists share a commitment to biblical truth – and a commitment to sharing the hope of Jesus Christ with everyone, everywhere. This includes sponsoring more than 10,000 missionaries in North America and around the world. Southern Baptists do not believe themselves to be the only authentic Christians, however, and work alongside other evangelical churches and organizations around the world.

In short, we do believe in "sharing hope every single day" – through hunger relief, caring for people with AIDS in Africa, coordinated disaster-relief and long-term rebuild efforts, and countless other ministries locally, nationally and internationally. It's a natural expression of God's profound love for us.

Crest is committed to Christ, connecting with each other and commissioned to serve our community and the world.

Membership

  1. By receiving Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord and being baptized by immersion. If you have never asked the Lord into your life, we will be glad to explain how to become a Christian.
  2. By transferring your membership from another Baptist Church.
  3. By statement of faith. If you are a believer from another church background, we can accept your statement of faith and testimony of scriptural baptism. The pastor and deacons will be glad to answer your questions about church membership.
