Small Group Studies

Sunday Mornings -  We have small groups for all ages, including four for adults on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. Winter 2011, adults are studying:
  • God’s Greatest Gift - This study is a reminder of the life-changing significance of Christmas and will challenge believers to carry the message of Christmas to the world. (Room 9b)
  • 10 Choices by James MacDonald - A person's will is what he uses to choose and act. This study will show you the power of personal choices and how you can make the top choices, starting now. (Room 9a)
  • 52 Key Bible Stories – This study will give you an overview of key people and events of the Bible. (Room 4)
  • Young Adult Bible Study  – The Invisible War: Winning the Battle of Temptation: This video/discussion format by Rick Warren teaches how to overcome the 3 essential kinds of temptations that Satan uses to influence us: Passion, Possession, and Position (Room 5)

ADDITIONAL SMALL GROUPS

MONDAY: Weight Release Group—Women: Contact Vicki Brown at 782-5487. (Office classroom at 10 a.m., the first and third Monday of the month)
 
TUESDAY: Weight Release Group—Women: Contact Sherry Taylor at 782-5820. (Youth Room at 4:30 p.m.) 
 
WEDNESDAY: Abide in Christ – Andrew Murray's classic book wisely proclaims the blessings of a life spent in the continual presence of Jesus and shows how that life may be realized by every believer.  (7:00 p.m. Location changes each week; call 782-2018 for location).
 
THURSDAY:
  • Celebrate Recovery— a Christ-centered 12-Step ministry. Contact Rich Ornelis at 202-4307. Childcare provided. (6:00 p.m.)
  • GriefShare—Contact Lexie Starlin at 641-344-1861, Marilyn Ralls at 641-344-5974 or Crest at 782-2018. (6:30 p.m. – Office classroom)
  • Women's Bible Study - James, Mercy Triumphs: Begins in January (6:30 p.m. at the Spindler’s, 1017 N. Poplar ) Contact Myra Spindler, 782-7521. Click HERE for full description.
FRIDAY: Women's Bible Study - This group will also be studying James, Mercy Triumphs beginning in January. (9:30 a.m., Room 9b). Childcare is provided.
 

 

The heartbeat of Crest is its small groups. If you only come to worship services, you are missing a big component of what it means to be involved in the life of the Body of Christ. There is a place for you!
